FIESTA FLAMENCA - a theatrical concert of Spanish music and dance

The theatrical Spanish music and dance concert Fiesta Flamenca is coming to Vilnius and invites everyone to a true Spanish celebration! After all, a celebration is an important highlight of life that connects us with pleasant experiences. It is said that if you don't celebrate much, you won't work well either. An inseparable part of celebrations is dance, music, and song. Therefore, the author of the concert's concept chose this very combination. True, with a southern temperament that still pulses today with the traditions of rural community celebrations, carrying a living message of festive spirit.

At the Fiesta Flamenca celebration, we will all create the mood, so you will not just be observers, but participants as well. You will find yourself in Spain, where colorfully dressed characters from the local fiestas will delight the audience with intricate flamenco rhythms, Spanish guitar harmonies, and Andalusian folklore. Throughout the concert, you will become witnesses to love, flirtatious games, and passionate bullfighting.

In the concert, you will learn more about the traditions of flamenco dance and genres of Spanish music, and get acquainted with the meanings of costumes and accessories. And the performers of different generations gathered on stage will remind you of a true celebration and will not leave anyone indifferent.

Performers:

Liucija Puidokaitė:

Studied the art of flamenco in Spain and other European countries under professional Spanish flamenco dancers. Having completed her academic music studies at the LMTA, she delves into the art of flamenco from a professional perspective, experimenting by combining classical music and the flamenco style. She is a member of the classical guitar and flamenco dance duo “Duo de Flame”. She has founded a flamenco school in Vilnius, where she shares her acquired knowledge and experience. Dancers from the “Šok Flamenko” school she founded are participating in the concert.

Algimantas Pauliukevičius:

Laureate of international competitions, guitar virtuoso and professional, who perfectly masters the classical and flamenco guitar. His vast legacy of archival recordings is often broadcast on Lithuanian Radio. He has thoroughly studied Western European and Spanish music, as well as folklore. A frequent guest on Lithuanian and foreign stages, he never ceases to surprise the audience with new colors of performance. He is a member of the classical guitar and flamenco dance duo “Duo de Flame”.
