Concert dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Faustas Latėnas

This year marks the 70th birth anniversary of the prominent Lithuanian composer and National Culture and Art Prize laureate, Faustas Latėnas. On September 30 at 7:00 PM, the Vilnius Shalom Festival invites you to an exclusive concert at the Vilnius Town Hall, dedicated to honoring the maestro's memory and his significant contribution to Lithuanian music and Litvak cultural heritage.

The evening's program will feature the most prominent chamber music opuses, revealing Faustas Latėnas's unique musical language – emotional, theatrical, and deeply touching to the listener. The works will be performed by one of Lithuania's most prominent string quartets, the Mettis Quartet, and the Germany-based Lithuanian pianist Vytis Šakūras.

Vilnius Shalom Festival is the third international festival of Jewish music and culture taking place in Vilnius, known as the Jerusalem of the North. From September 13 to October 7, you can look forward to classical, jazz, and klezmer music concerts, the Shofar March, and educational events.
