On October 14th, live music club "Tamsta" presents Farayi Malek!
Farayi Malek, the owner of a warm, rich, and soul-touching voice, is coming to Lithuania with a special musical story. The Grammy-nominated vocalist, known as a member of Danilo Pérez's "Global Messengers," returns to her musical roots this time, presenting work that blends different cultures, experiences, and musical traditions.
Of mixed heritage, Farayi grew up in a small town in Southern Idaho, where she played the violin as a child and grew up surrounded by the cultures of different communities. Her musical world was shaped by American folklore and hymns, and later by blues and jazz. All of this experience is reflected today in her songs, where her exceptional vocals sound free, sensitive, and deeply moving.
Farayi is a laureate of the "Salt Lick Incubator" program and plans to release her debut full-length album in 2027. Beyond the stage and recording studio, she shares her extensive musical knowledge by teaching at prestigious institutions such as Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory.
However, Farayi's music is more than just sound. Whether she is on stage or teaching others, her work is driven by a desire to make people feel seen, heard, and accepted for who they are.
On October 14th, a sensitive, live evening colored with various musical shades awaits at "Tamsta" with Farayi Malek.
