About this event
Come join Sienos Grupė and SODAS 2123 on Sunday, August 30th, for a picnic of celebration with the Eritrean community.
Spend the day with Eritrean food, coffee, and a musical surround curated by members of the diaspora – Delina and Naemi, followed by malaak – a sonic exploration by Malka Sultan and a curation of protest sounds from around the world.
You can expect to enjoy:
> authentic Eritrean food (vegetarian options available); > fresh Eritrean coffee prepared on-the-spot; > Eritrean music compiled by the community’s youth – Delina and Naemi; > malaak – Layered, deep, vocal harmonies by Malka Sultan.
The event lasts from 14:00–18:00, in SODAS 2123 courtyard’s Oven Pavilion. We look forward to seeing you!
