On Friday, June 26, at 6 PM, the LDS gallery "Arka" invites you to the opening of the group exhibition "Entwined Bodies". The event will feature a presentation and a tour of three new exhibitions opening at the gallery.
The exhibition explores ecological sensitivity as an interaction between the human body, memory, imagination, and the environment. In it, the human is perceived not as an observer or master of nature, but as a constantly changing part of an ecological system whose boundaries intertwine with other forms of life and matter. The artists' works reveal the interconnections through which the body, environment, and cultural memory constantly influence each other, shaping new ways of perceiving oneself and the world.
The exhibition brings together ecological, mythological, and speculative future perspectives. Folklore motifs, hints of ritualism, and visions of hybrid life become tools to rethink the human relationship with nature in times of technological change. Here, ecology is understood not only as an environmental topic but also as a daily experience encompassing fragility, transformation, and interdependence. The works raise questions about how the concept of life is changing, what new forms the connection with the environment can take, and what future ecologies become possible in a world where it is increasingly difficult to distinguish the natural from the artificial.
