About this event

A one-man show based on true facts about family history, freedom, and courage.

Actor Eimutis Kvoščiauskas invites you to a sensitive and authentic narrative born from personal family memory, archives, and long historical research. At the center of the play is his grandmother, Ona Liutvinaitė-Kvoščiauskienė, a woman who joined the partisan resistance, whose decisions changed the fate of the entire family. Alongside her, the stories of her partisan brothers and her young son, left to grow up without a mother, unfold—reminding us that the scars of occupation were borne not only by those who fought, but also by their children.

"The Grandma They Called a Bandit" is a one-man show based on elements of documentary theater and storytelling, where the actor's live narration, authentic family memories, archival material, video projections, and original music created specifically for this play merge. It is a personal, sensitive, and impactful experience that invites you not only to remember the history of Lithuania but also to look at it through the fate of one family.

This is a play about memory. About family. About people whose stories deserve to be heard.
