There are fairy tales we have known since childhood. It seems we know them by heart, yet each time they can resonate in a completely different way. We invite families on a lyrical musical journey through the worlds of Eglė and Žilvinas. One is of the earth, the other of the water. One is familiar and close, the other mysterious and undiscovered.

On stage, the story of Eglė and Žilvinas will unfold through music and dance. Works by Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis will be performed live by the Čiurlionio kvartetas, offering another opportunity to feel how the forest, the sea, and the world in which we experience longing, peace, or anxiety sound. Two young dancers, Lėja Povilaitytė and Deivydas Strazdas Gudaitis, will tell the story of the meeting of two worlds through movement. Their different dance styles will meet just as Eglė and Žilvinas meet in the fairy tale.

This musical afternoon is the presentation of the book "Eglė ir Žilvinas," published by "Muzikija" and illustrated by Gabriel Pacheco.
