Performers: ČIURLIONIS QUARTET ADELĖ MARTŪNAITĖ and IGNAS TAMULIS (dancers) Video projections based on illustrations by Gabriel Pacheco
Program features works by Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis
"Eglė and Žilvinas" is one of the oldest Lithuanian folk tales about choice, loyalty, and the price of it all. It is a fairy tale about love that transcends the boundary between "my" and "your" worlds.
Evocative scenographic images created by renowned illustrator Gabriel Pacheco build a quiet, dreamlike atmosphere filled with inner tension. The artist invites the audience to slow down, listen, look closely, and not be afraid to feel. In the concert, young listeners will also discover the music of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis – the Čiurlionis Quartet will continue the story through sound, opening another opportunity to experience how the forest, the sea, and the world in which we experience longing, peace, or anxiety sound. The performers hope that this visual and musical concert will become a memorable experience and a source of fun artistic discoveries for the young audience.
