On the evening of November 12, DOWNTOWN PIANO LAB will be filled with elegant swing, soulful ballads, and sunny bossa nova rhythms. Taking the stage will be "Jazz In Case" – a young generation jazz quintet inviting listeners to rediscover the live, warm, and time-tested sound of traditional jazz.
The program of the collective, assembled by pianist Justas Selenis, will feature jazz classics inspired by legendary creators such as Bill Evans, Bobby Timmons, George Gershwin, and Duke Ellington. The musicians will guide listeners through different moods – from infectiously pulsing swing to melodic ballads and light, rhythmic bossa nova.
This evening, the talented vocalist Austėja Kazlauskaitė will join the group. Her voice and lyrics will add new colors to familiar melodies, allowing their stories to be heard even more intimately and sensitively.
On stage:
Austėja Kazlauskaitė – vocals
Davit Avetisyan – tenor and alto saxophones
Justas Selenis – piano
Jeronimas Darulis – bass guitar
Jonas Gedvilas – drums
"Jazz In Case" cannot live without three things – food, jazz, and each other. On November 12, they invite you to add yourself to this list.
Allow yourself to slow down for one evening, immerse yourself in the rhythm of jazz, and experience music from very close up. The number of seats is limited – secure your tickets in advance.
The Dainykla project is partially funded by the Vilnius City Municipality.
