On July 9th, at 5 PM, the exhibition ρ / Densities of Air opens at the Vilnius Graphic Art Centre’s gallery “Kairė-dešinė,” presenting works by young generation creators Liudvika Sonia Koort and Augustynas Sinkevič.
The exhibition will run from 09/07/2026 to 01/08/2026.
In this exhibition, the gallery spaces become private rooms filled with atmospheres of varying density. “ρ” invites you to travel through an exposition where the works dictate how and how closely one can approach them. Entering these spaces becomes not a physical act, but a form of relationship: sometimes an obstacle, sometimes a wait, sometimes a reconciliation. Here, we encounter not open narratives, but situations that require negotiating for proximity. Surfaces, reliefs, and material fragments act as structures that do not open up immediately, but require attention, careful approach, and time. Air density here is perceived as a state: in some places it is thick, closed, and difficult to pass through – it contains signs of unspoken experience. Elsewhere, on the contrary, it operates through fragility, light, distance, and an almost empty field, where meaning arises not from excess, but from silence. Personal spaces do not become a confession; rather, they are an atmosphere that can only be partially entered.
Liudvika Sonia Koort creates sculptures, objects, drawings, scenography, and poetic texts. The artist studied at the Vilnius Academy of Arts and actively participates in exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad. In her artistic practice, the body, landscape, and materiality become the main axes of creation. In Liudvika’s works, form acts not only as an aesthetic structure but also as an experiential space, allowing for a rethinking of the relationship between corporeality, sacredness, and identity in contemporary art.
Augustynas Sinkevič is a young generation artist who uses photography, sculpture, and text in his work. His pieces reveal a fragmentary, intuitive construction of imagery, where everyday objects and fragments of personal experience become part of a broader visual narrative. The multi-layered nature of the image is important in Sinkevič’s work, allowing him to speak about memory, environmental tensions, and the state of the contemporary subject.
