We invite young creators aged 8-10 to dive into a creative five-day adventure.
Together with the actors of the "Budrugana Lietuva" theater, campers will play theatrical games, learn the subtleties of improvisation, create etudes, get to know their own and others' emotions, and learn the unique technique of hand shadow theater, crowning the creative processes with fun results that they will present to each other at the end of the camp.
Also, the camp will not lack curiosity-stimulating educational activities, for which we will travel by public city transport or host educators in our theater spaces. Here, children will spend every day playfully and creatively with professional actors and will stir up the shadow so that there will be enough energy and enthusiasm until next year's camp!
WHY US?
In the day camp, children will learn how to create various shadow characters with their own hands and how to bring them to life. Also, in the hand shadow theater workshops, children will develop not only their hands and their plasticity, but also their observation skills, attention to small details, and expand the boundaries of their imagination.
Actors will pay great attention to children's emotional intelligence; after sessions and at the end of the day, they will teach children to reflect, express their feelings, and convey them either in words or through various artistic forms.
Every day we will dive into a "creative challenge," during which children will learn not only to let their imagination run wild, without criticizing, restricting, or thinking about the opinions of others, but we will also learn to bring the creative process to an artistic result within a certain time.
Here, children will spend time and learn theater skills with professional theater actors.
Every day, children will go on a different artistic or educational excursion/activity. The goal of this part is to introduce children to various forms of theater and art, techniques, and to get to know their emotions/feelings/moods through art.
During acting masterclass sessions, children will increase their sense of self-confidence, develop creativity, flexibility of thinking, expand their imagination, and learn the basics of acting—etudes and character creation. Also, during theatrical games/exercises, children will learn to feel their partner, the team, the environment, and to listen not only to their own impulses and feelings but also to those sent by a friend.
Here, children will start and end their day in our theater studio, where they will have a great opportunity to get a closer look at the actors' theatrical environment/backstage, where actors constantly create plays and rehearse.
