What started in 2020 as a bet between two corgi owners is today one of the most beloved summer events in Europe. On August 15th, Corgi Race Vilnius returns to Vingis Park for the fifth time – bigger, louder, and even hairier.
Last year, 140 corgis from six countries not only raced but also held a parade that had half the world talking about it. 2.8 billion viewers reached, 3,200 publications in 40 countries and 20 languages. ABC News, Sky News, ZDF, New York Post, Fox News, People, AP, Reuters. The world's smallest athletes on the biggest stage.
The program features five uncompromising events. A 50-meter sprint with qualifiers, semifinals, and finals where destinies are decided. A costume parade with live audience voting. A loudest bark contest. A puzzle challenge and an equally fun solo sprint. In between all this – food, partner activations, and so much fun chaos that those seeking peace will have to wait until September.
Welsh Pembroke and Cardigan Corgis from all over Europe are invited to register for free. We encourage spectators to purchase tickets now. The Vingis Park stadium holds 6,000 people, and the plan is simple – to fill it once again. Tickets will become more expensive as the event approaches, so early birds win.
Vilnius has already become the European capital of corgis. And if you want global attention – forget influencers and short-lived trends. Sometimes, one corgi is enough.
Admission is free for children up to 3 years old inclusive; a 40% discount applies to children aged 4 to 9, seniors from 65 years old, and persons with disabilities. To take advantage of this, please have the necessary certificate or document with you during the event.
The event will be photographed, filmed, and broadcast live. By participating in the event, you agree that your image may be used for event publicity and communication purposes.
See you at the starting line!
