The ensemble "Musica humana", its artistic director, oboist Robertas Beinaris, and other soloists will delight the audience of this concert with works of various eras, styles, and genres. The program will feature popular pieces by Vienna-based classics Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri, 20th–21st-century masters – Briton Terence Greaves, Argentine Ástor Piazzolla, Ukrainian Myroslav Skoryk, and Lithuanian composers Juozas Tallat-Kelpša and Algirdas Martinaitis, who never met in real life. The ensemble and its soloists will be joined by singer Dovilė Kazonaitė, who will perform arias from Mozart's operas and works by Lithuanian composers.
The ensemble's guest from Latvia is flutist Ilona Meija, a professor of flute and chamber music at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. She has performed with various Latvian orchestras and regularly conducts masterclasses in her home country, the Netherlands, Italy, and Estonia. I. Meija is the president of the Latvian Flute Association.
