On December 4, 2026, Vilnius will become part of music history for one evening. The stage will feature a voice that preserves the memory of an entire era. Chris Norman is a legend of the global stage and a symbol of time.
The grand concert of Chris Norman is not just a performance, but a live confession by the artist, a journey through the threads of memories, love, and destiny woven into a musical career spanning more than half a century. The premiere of the album "LIFELINES" and immortal hits will merge into a single canvas of emotions, providing a rare opportunity to touch music that has become a part of the lives of millions of people around the world.
"LIFELINES" – a legend's musical autobiography
The new album "LIFELINES", released in March 2026, has become a special and highly personal confession of Chris Norman's career. It is a conceptual work, conceived as a musical autobiography and an emotional journey through the artist's creative path of more than 50 years.
Each song on the album is an important stage in the life of the distinguished musician. Together, they form an unbroken thread of memories, emotions, and numerous musical influences that have shaped Chris Norman over the decades. The first single, "LIFELINES", symbolizes the beginning of this journey into the past.
"'LIFELINES' is a song about the memories and experiences of my life and career, about those moments that trigger strong emotions that can only be expressed through music," says Chris Norman.
The famous artist's 75th birthday became the ideal moment to pause and look back: at early childhood memories, musical peaks reached, fateful meetings, and very personal, moving moments. All this is reflected in the album "LIFELINES", which reveals not only the performer but also him as a simple human being off-stage.
"I chose special songs from different decades – pieces that were very important to me then and remain important today. I hope they will give listeners many warm memories," says Chris Norman about the new concert tour program.
In addition to personal musical confessions, the album also features legendary hits "Midnight Lady" and "Mexican Girl", which have become an inseparable part of global music history. The grand stage will also feature immortal classics – "Living Next Door to Alice", "Needles and Pins", "Oh Carol", "I’ll Meet You at Midnight", "Don’t Play Your Rock’n’Roll to Me", and other world-famous compositions.
A global pop-rock legend
Music fans all over the world do not need an introduction to Chris Norman. It was precisely because of his distinctive, slightly raspy voice that the band "Kindness", on the advice of managers, was once renamed "Smokey". As the band members have explained more than once, Chris's "smoky" voice was associated with smoke, and later the band's name became "Smokie".
Chris Norman (real name – Christopher Ward Norman) was born into a family of artists in Yorkshire, Great Britain. His father, whose musical taste was shaped by Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Little Richard, and The Rolling Stones, gave his son his first guitar when Chris was seven. In 1962, Chris Norman began attending Bradford Boys' School, where he met future "Smokie" members – Alan Silson and Terry Uttley.
Initially, the band had many names – "The Yen", "Essence", "Long Side Down", "The Elizabethans". However, the real creative breakthrough came with the fateful name: in 1975, the long-awaited debut "Smokie" album "Pass It Around" was released, created in collaboration with famous producers and songwriters of that time, Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman.
1978 became the beginning of the "Smokie" golden era: the album "The Montreux Album" was released, the critically acclaimed single "Mexican Girl" became a mega-hit, and the Chris Norman and Suzi Quatro song "Stumblin’ In" reached the US Billboard Top 10. This was followed by years of dazzling fame – world tours, concerts on all continents, and stadiums full of fans.
A dizzying solo career
Although Chris Norman finally left "Smokie" in 1986 and began a solo career, his discography is impressive: more than 50 singles and more than 30 albums (9 with "Smokie" and 25 solo). More than 30 million records have been sold worldwide, and the artist continues to create music and actively perform to this day.
After successful concerts with Suzi Quatro, he collaborated with Dieter Bohlen – the founder, composer, and singer of Modern Talking, Blue System, and CC Catch. With the song "Midnight Lady", Chris Norman conquered the peaks of popular music in many countries.
The musician lives on the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea and has been married to his wife Linda for over 50 years. They have five children and four grandchildren. During interviews, Chris Norman has repeatedly emphasized the importance of marriage. In 2001, the family suffered a painful loss – his son Brian died in a motorcycle accident. Despite everything, Norman continues his successful career and remains a welcome guest on international stages.
All the hits and new song premieres will be performed
The artist performs actively all over the world and surprises thousands of fans with his energy.
"Humor and exercise help maintain energy. Even though I really want to be lazy, I still force myself to go to the gym and work out," smiles Chris Norman, whose concert schedule is planned for several years ahead. The name Chris Norman is associated not only with energetic rock but also with lyrical songs, so the concerts promise to be both rock-and-roll and soulful.
Chris Norman's concert is not just music, it is a meeting with an era. His songs are the soundtrack to the lives of many generations.
The concert on December 4, 2026, at the "ARENA VILNIUS" arena is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in a unique atmosphere and feel the live energy of one of the world's greatest rock stars. Tickets are distributed by bilietai.lt
