Three masters of the stage – violinist and first violinist of the State Vilnius Quartet Dalia Kuznecovaitė, cellist Davidas Geringas, and pianist Petras Geniušas, who have joined together as the "Grand Trio Vilnius" – invite you to celebrate the most beautiful holidays of the year in the Grand Hall of the Philharmonic.
Having started performing together in 2021, "Grand Trio Vilnius" pays special attention to works rarely heard in Lithuania and abroad. In 2022, the ensemble recorded both of Johannes Brahms' sextets (arranged for piano trio by T. Kirchner) and held numerous concerts featuring works by Anatolijus Šenderovas, Bronius Kutavičius, Faustas Latėnas, and other Lithuanian composers.
The festive concert will feature fragments from the famous opera "Hänsel und Gretel" by British composer Engelbert Humperdinck, the expressive Trio No. 2 by Anatolijus Šenderovas, and the elegiac Piano Trio in E-flat major No. 2 by Franz Schubert – one of the composer's late chamber music masterpieces.
