Canto Italiano. Three Neapolitan Tenors.

For the first time in Lithuania, three prominent Neapolitan tenors – Francesco Malapena, Alessandro Fortunato, and Francesco Fortes – meet on one stage, inviting you to an exclusive evening of Italian music at St. Catherine's Church.

The program "Canto Italiano – Three Neapolitan Tenors" will intertwine the great tradition of Italian opera with the sunny romance of Neapolitan songs. Arias from the operas of Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini will be performed, along with world-renowned melodies such as "’O Sole Mio," "Torna a Surriento," "Santa Lucia," and other Italian musical pieces.

Three brilliant tenors will meet on stage, whose creative paths span prestigious concert halls across Europe and the world. Francesco Malapena is a laureate of the international Enrico Caruso competition, having performed at the Sydney Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and other famous world stages. Francesco Fortes is the winner of the special prize for the best male voice at the Luciano Pavarotti competition, having performed leading roles in the operas "La Bohème," "Madama Butterfly," "Aida," and "Turandot." Alessandro Fortunato is a lyric tenor whose repertoire blends grand Italian opera, musicals, and the tradition of Neapolitan songs.

The tenors will be accompanied by the "Montella Trio," an instrumental ensemble formed specifically for this project – guitar virtuosos Nicola Montella and Valerio Celentano, and violinist Andrea Montella. The mastery of these three Italian instrumentalists will add chamber subtlety and an authentic Mediterranean sound to the program.

This concert is a musical journey to Italy, where the grandeur of opera meets Neapolitan passion, romance, and the vibrant emotion of Southern Italy.
