Sometimes all it takes is one guitar, one voice, and one song for time to stand still for a moment.
On August 29th, the exceptional Dutch singer-songwriter Bram van Langen arrives at DOWNTOWN PIANO LAB for the first time – a musician from Amsterdam who has performed over a thousand concerts across Europe, ranging from cozy living rooms and intimate spaces to legendary stages such as Paradiso and Melkweg.
Bram creates music that takes its time. His songs blend subtle melodies, a warm acoustic sound, and deep stories inspired by legends like Nick Drake, Paul Simon, James Taylor, and Paul McCartney. It is music that invites you to stop, take a breath, and forget the rushing world for at least an hour.
A special atmosphere is also created by an instrument rarely seen in concerts – a nearly hundred-year-old Swedish harp guitar, whose rich and unique sound has become an inseparable part of Bram's performances.
After releasing his debut album "Island" last year, the artist is embarking on a concert tour through Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium, and is coming to Lithuania for the first time.
On this tour, Bram appears on stage alongside other musicians, reinterpreting his work with the rich sounds of cello, saxophone, trombone, piano, mandolin, and other instruments. Each arrangement is crafted to maintain the most important feature of his music – sensitivity, tranquility, and a sincere connection with the listener.
If you enjoy Ben Howard, Nick Drake, José González, Damien Rice, or early James Taylor, this evening may become one of your most beautiful musical discoveries of the summer.
One evening. Real music. No noise. Just stories that stay with you long after the final chord.
The Dainykla project is partially funded by the Vilnius City Municipality.
