We are excited to announce: one of the most difficult-to-define heavy experimental institutions of today, the Japanese band Boris, is returning to Vilnius. Featuring a special program dedicated to the 20th anniversary of their legendary album Pink and a special guest – Planning for Burial.

Boris is a collective formed in Tokyo that has been defying genre canons for over three decades. Throughout their career, the band has traveled through drone, doom metal, noise, shoegaze, hardcore punk, and psychedelic and alternative rock, mastering each of these stops. In the band's music, heaviness and melody, noise and beauty exist side-by-side, constantly changing, yet interacting and remaining uniquely, Boris-ly recognizable.

Released in 2005, Pink is an album where heavy rock, psychedelia, and streams of noise immerse the listener in a cohesive, energy-pulsing ocean. Two decades later, Boris returns to this record live, allowing us to re-experience one of the most striking episodes of their work, and of contemporary metal in general.

Special guest of the evening – Planning For Burial – is the project of Thom Wasluck, where shoegaze haze, slowcore melancholy, and drone monotony merge into a heavy, introspective soundscape. The dialogue between noise and silence here acts as a vessel for rethinking loneliness and nostalgia.
