"Nothing can be brighter than the heart of a person in love"... May your hearts illuminate a special Advent evening where word, music, prayer, and silence will meet. Priest and writer Benas Lyris will present his latest book, "The Power of Prayer. God – My Psychotherapist" (published by "Alma littera"). Benas Lyris is one of the most prominent authors of Lithuanian consolation and spiritual-psychological literature. His work focuses heavily on the human inner world, the relationship with oneself, others, and God, and the search for hope, peace, and comfort. His texts invite readers to pause, listen to themselves, and take a fresh look at life's challenges.
The author's latest book speaks of prayer not merely as a religious duty, but as a living relationship – a place where a person can come with their anxiety, losses, doubts, gratitude, and dreams. It is a book about hope, inner peace, and trust, even when we do not find answers to all of life's questions. However, "The Light That Finds a Person" is more than just a book launch. It is an evening of music, conversation, and meditation dedicated specifically to Advent. About the book, faith, human inner struggles, love, and where to look for light during difficult periods of life. The priest will be interviewed by journalist Laisvė Radzevičienė. The musical atmosphere of the evening will be created by performer Emilija Mackevičienė and violinist Klementina Beinarytė-Dautartienė. Music and hymns will intertwine with Benas Lyris's meditations, texts, and moments of silence.
As Christmas approaches, this evening will invite you not only to wait for the holiday but also to prepare your heart for it. Perhaps light does not always come loudly. Sometimes it comes through a word. Through music. Through silence. Through a person.
