Sex and marriage. Love? Not necessarily! And morality? Hmm… well, maybe sometimes. This is not a tour about the most beautiful love stories sung by poets, but a collection of much spicier tales. We will discuss the bedroom affairs of kings and dukes, the marriages of nobles, the dramas of ordinary townspeople, and count the marital and extramarital affairs, venereal diseases, legitimate and 'illegitimate' children, men's mistresses, and women's 'marriage assistants' of others. You will find out which Vilnius streets had girls waiting for clients, which cafes the city elite liked to flirt in, you will hear what an impressive erotic find archaeologists recently unearthed in the courtyard of the former Bishops' Palace, and after hearing what Mykolas Romeris wrote in his diary, your hair will stand on end. There will be public airing of dirty laundry, Lithuanian folk erotica and love magic, and, of course, lots and lots of laughter.
