The most beautiful rock ballads will resonate in the exceptionally beautiful St. Catherine's Church!
One of Lithuania's most prominent vocal coaches and performers, Indrė Launikonytė, invites listeners on an exclusive musical journey on November 11 – the concert "Age of Rock: The Most Beautiful Ballads," which will take place at St. Catherine's Church in Vilnius. The acoustic evening will feature legendary rock pieces, reborn in unique arrangements.
For many years, Indrė Launikonytė has captivated listeners not only with her exceptional voice and technical vocal mastery but also with her ability to convey inner authenticity through music. The performer says that rock music has always been special to her – it is a genre that allows for the widest amplitude of emotions and vocal colors to unfold.
"It has always seemed to me that rock music is one of the richest musical genres in terms of its colors. When singing rock pieces, I feel how a wider amplitude of vocal timbre naturally unfolds than in any other musical style. It feels as if the music within me separates into many layers, like a matrix – no other musical style makes me feel so deeply. My heart beats to the rhythm of rock music," the performer shares.
At the concert "Age of Rock: The Most Beautiful Ballads," listeners will hear pieces by legendary bands and artists such as Queen, Scorpions, Roxette, Tina Turner, Bon Jovi, Nirvana, AC/DC, and many others, which will sound new on this evening.
"The concert will feature the most beautiful classic, glam, pop, and hard rock pieces from various eras of rock in an acoustic sound. I believe that every listener will take away their favorite song from this evening. I am sure that the evening will be very real and sincere, because that is what rock music is, and that is who I am," says Indrė.
A special place in the concert will be occupied by the work of the band Queen. Perhaps the most important piece of the evening for Indrė herself is the legendary "Show Must Go On." It is one of the first songs the performer remembers from her childhood.
"It was summer, we arrived at my grandmother's, and I spent time in my parents' car just because the radio was playing there. Upon hearing 'Show Must Go On,' the melody of the piece, Freddie Mercury's strong voice, and the song's instrumentation fell into my heart. It was so beautiful to me; I just remember that little version of myself and the whole impression that overcame me. 'Show Must Go On' continued to accompany me through life during significant events," she recalls.
The performer believes that this concert will be not only a musical but also an emotional experience, in which she invites all listeners to participate. "I warmly invite you to be together and draw energy from the eternal power of rock music," smiles Indrė.
