A new musical play "Taip gimė žvaigždė" (A Star Is Born) — a witty, cruel, and incredibly moving story about the price of fame and the collapse of identity behind the scenes. When a random voice replaces the monarchy of the stage, the troupe splits, games of love and ambition reveal art as a commodity, and every duet becomes a confession. The play will remind you that the road to success often demands more than it seems from the outside.

Everyone's beloved stage diva Nina (played by Lina Rastokaitė) is slowly losing her place in the spotlight when a modest wardrobe volunteer, Eva (Paula Valentaitė), appears at the theater. At first glance, the shy girl soon catches the attention of those around her – she is admired by Nina's husband, music creator Joe (Jokūbas Bareikis), director Mark (Simonas Storpirštis/Ainis Storpirštis), and theater critic Steve (Ainis Storpirštis/Mykolas Vildžiūnas). Eventually, Eva gets the lead role in a new production, while Nina is offered a supporting role. Is all of this just a coincidence, or a carefully calculated path to fame?

A true constellation of Lithuanian actors meets on stage: Lina Rastokaitė, Jokūbas Bareikis, Simonas Storpirštis, Oneida Kunsunga, Agnė Šataitė, Paula Valentaitė, Adelė Šuminskaitė, Ainis Storpirštis, Mykolas Vildžiūnas. During the performance, legendary songs from the film "A Star Is Born" will be performed live - it is a theater evening with a unique experience.

"Taip gimė žvaigždė", inspired by two iconic films – Joseph L. Mankiewicz's "All About Eve" (1950) and the Bradley Cooper-directed "A Star Is Born" (2018). An originally written play that combines the themes of both works into a story relevant to today, starting its tour across the country on October 8th.
