A concert by the trio of grandmasters – Petras Vyšniauskas, Tomas Kutavičius, and Arkadijus Gotesmanas – where the audience can expect solo, duo, and trio improvisational music. The program will feature works from the 2025 albums "Neskaityti laiškai" by P. Vyšniauskas and T. Kutavičius, and "Music For An Imaginary Ballet" by A. Gotesmanas.
P. VYŠNIAUSKAS – laureate of the National Culture and Art Prize, one of the most prominent Lithuanian jazz and improvisational music performers. The saxophonist has performed in over 70 countries, collaborated with world-class musicians, recorded dozens of albums, and contributed to the development of the professional saxophone school in Lithuania.
T. KUTAVIČIUS – pianist and composer who uniquely bridges the worlds of improvisational and academic music. As a jazz pianist, he has performed at international festivals in Lithuania and abroad, including Willisau, Lucerne (Switzerland), Detroit (USA), and "Sons d’Hiver" (France). As a composer, he has created symphonic and chamber works for the "Gaida" festival, as well as music for theater.
One of the most creative and productive Lithuanian jazz artists, A. GOTESMANAS – an alchemist of sound – expresses himself not only as a percussionist and composer but also as a poet, director, educator, associate professor at the LMTA, and producer. He creates and records music for theater, performs it in plays, writes scripts for musical performances and installations, develops projects with dancers, writers, actors, and visual artists, and creates original theatrical productions.
