Returning from a tour of the Baltic states, guests from Poland – the Podkarpacka Artur Malawski Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, based in Rzeszów – will visit the Kaunas State Philharmonic. This is one of the best symphony orchestras in Poland, having begun its activities in 1955. The orchestra performs throughout Poland, as well as in countries such as Austria, Belgium, China, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Spain, Lithuania, Germany, Slovakia, Ukraine, Hungary, and Italy. The ensemble's performances are frequently heard in the most prestigious concert halls, such as the Vienna Musikverein and others. The orchestra's repertoire includes symphonic works belonging to world music literature and numerous pieces by Polish composers, including contemporary ones.

Performing alongside this ensemble at the Kaunas State Philharmonic will be the acclaimed Latvian pianist and composer Vestards Šimkus, who performs with the world's most prominent orchestras, while another soloist will be revealed only in October, when the 17th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition takes place in Poznań, with a prize fund exceeding 110,000 EUR.
