Student Film Night

For one night, "Romuva" will become a place where sleep can wait and cinema can continue until morning. We invite you to the Student Film Night to discover films by young creators in a program curated by the "Šoblės" film club, try out creative workshops, play a short trivia game, and embark on a four-film night marathon. We'll sleep next semester! ✧✦✧✦ THE MAIN MARATHON PROGRAM consists of four films – from the dizzying "Paprika" and the cult classic "Donnie Darko" to the absurd "Bougonia" and the black comedy and horror-filled "Possession". THE "ŠOBLĖS" FILM CLUB PROGRAM features seven short films by young filmmakers, telling stories about memory, relationships, secrets, tension, and summer: "Subtilus reikalas", "Antrasis miestas", "Prisiminimų nešėjai", "Kulminacijos nebus", "Ir tada įėjo generolas", "Blausos", and "Kavinė-bufetas". "Šoblė" is the film club and festival of the LMTA National Film School. ✧✦✧✦ ✧✦✧✦ EVENT PROGRAM: 7:00 PM – "Šoblės" short film screening in front of "Romuva" (92 min.); 7:00 PM – Ceramics Academy workshop in the lobby (90 min.); 8:45 PM – Film marathon: "Paprika" (90 min.); 10:30 PM – Film marathon: "Donnie Darko" (113 min.); 12:30 AM – Mini trivia game and mid-marathon break (30 min.); 1:00 AM – Film marathon: "Bougonia" (118 min.); 3:15 AM – Film marathon: "Possession" (109 min.); End: 5:05 AM. There will be at least a 15-minute break between feature films. A longer break is scheduled in the middle of the marathon. ✧✦✧✦ Event partners: "Brite", Ceramics Academy. Ceramics Academy is a creative ceramics studio operating since 2012. Here, children, youth, adults, and groups are invited to get to know ceramics, try molding, decorating, and glazing, and create a unique piece with their own hands. The sessions are suitable for beginners – the most important thing is curiosity and the desire to create. Education takes place at studios in Kaunas and Vilnius. Time to create together!
