In this concert, the combination of oboe, bassoon, and piano will reveal not only the character of each instrument but also their interplay – sometimes intimate, sometimes playful, and sometimes contrasting. The music will resonate, unbound by geography or time.
The concert program brings together voices from different eras, musical styles, and cultures into one living, breathing dialogue. Alongside the lyricism of Lithuanian music, subtly revealed by Balys Dvarionas and contemporarily and colorfully extended by Zita Bružaitė, the romantic miniatures of Robert Schumann and the French-refined music of Francis Poulenc will be performed.
