Soboras. Transformations: having survived radical changes over thirteen decades, from an Orthodox church and Evangelical church to a stained-glass gallery and a Catholic sanctuary, Soboras has remained "Soboras" on people's lips. Built on a swamp, it was famous not only for its size but also for the ringing of its bells, and the hundreds of icons in the wall paintings and iconostasis. Times changed, owners changed, and its significance changed as well.

"Demolish not preserve" – where to place the comma?

In the excursion, we will talk about dramatic changes, disputes, artists' experiments, the returned crosses, and the spirituality preserved in the St. Michael the Archangel (Garrison) Church.

In the basements under the church, the "21st-century catacombs" have been installed. Close your eyes and discover: in complete darkness, only our senses of hearing, smell, and touch will help us navigate them. We will experience what blind people living in a world adapted for the sighted go through.

Excursion price per participant: 15 Eur / 1 participant 12 Eur / 1 participant (for seniors, students, 9th-12th grade pupils, disabled persons)

The ticket price includes a donation/support for the preservation of the church's heritage and an entrance ticket to the "21st-century catacombs" - the Blind Installation.

For children and 1st-8th grade pupils participating in the excursion together with adult family members – the excursion is free (registration is required, as well as 2 Eur for the pupil's ticket to the catacombs).

For the convenience of participants, we will use an audio guide system (for all participants). This means that what the guide says, participants will hear personally through an earpiece, which will allow them to feel freer during the excursion, adjust the volume to their liking, and step away to look around or take photos.

The excursion will take place both outside and inside - please ensure you dress appropriately for the weather and, if necessary, bring rain protection.
