Kaunas State Philharmonic is establishing a new tradition – starting the season by commemorating the birthday of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis and Lithuanian Culture Day. This concert will feature the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, whose 270th birth anniversary we are marking this year. Although time flies, W. A. Mozart's music remains not only a benchmark of classical music but also an endless source of inspiration for those seeking perfection and playfulness.

A few years ago, Robertas Beinaris, the director of the Lithuanian National Philharmonic's chamber music ensemble "Musica Humana," approached the Bazaras Brothers Trio with an intriguing idea – to look at W. A. Mozart's music through the prism of jazz. This concept became a creative challenge, requiring not only mastery but also courage: touching the work of a genius is a responsible, yet risky step.

W. A. Mozart is not just an incomparable creator of melodies. His music contains multi-layered structures, subtle harmonic twists, and rich inner worlds that often go unnoticed upon the first listen. The "CounterMozartPoint" project invites you on this deeper journey – into what lies beneath the universally recognizable, transparent melodies.
