Raketa Hydrofoil: Kaunas – Nida

There are 6 seats at each table. One ticket is valid for one one-way trip.

Luggage weighing more than 10 kg (40x20x25) is subject to a separate ticket fee. Each passenger may carry one piece of luggage weighing no more than 10 kg (40x20x25). Hand luggage is free of charge.

IMPORTANT. Children's scooters and strollers are not charged extra. Scooters and bicycles over 20 kg are not accepted.

For scooters weighing more than 15 kg, a separate ticket is required. Please select the bicycle ticket option on the seating plan. One person may carry one bicycle or one scooter.

Raketa Hydrofoil – an engineering legend that has been sailing the most picturesque bends and valleys of the Nemunas River since the 1960s. Journeys that have gifted generations of travelers with nostalgia are being reborn with legendary ship captains and stories.

The most modern passenger ship of its time in the Soviet Union began production in 1957. With unforgettable futuristic shapes, powerful hydrofoils, and unprecedented travel speed, the vehicle, which was ahead of its time, became associated with freedom and rapid scientific progress.

Innovative ideas soon reached Lithuania – in the early 1960s, Raketa ships arrived in Kaunas and immediately began journeys along the bends of the Nemunas. The ship, which could accommodate nearly sixty passengers at a time, sailed several different routes along the river, and the number of operating Raketa ships eventually grew to five! These impressive, nostalgic journeys in Lithuania continued until 1995 and amazed several generations of vacationers.

History recalls that the most popular route for the Raketa hydrofoil was Kaunas – Nida. The journey along the picturesque banks of the Nemunas would end at the beloved port of the Curonian Spit. The route became a real hit – people had to wait in long lines, and tickets sold out like essential goods.

Inspired by the idea of the legendary ship and nostalgic images of the past, we are turning a page in the history of the Raketa and preparing the crew for new routes.
