A story of rare beauty and deep emotion about two families. Jack Cameron is a talented and famous writer, but as it sometimes happens, he is a bit arrogant and biting, and few can tolerate him. His wise and noble wife Susie is always by his side – even after death, when Saint Peter refuses to let them both through the gates of heaven due to Jack's insolence. Therefore, the spirits of Jack and Susie wander between this world and the next, quite bored: their only entertainment is to haunt and scare those who dare to move into their former summer house.
A young, newly married couple, Simon and Mary, move into the house. Searching for a path to family harmony, mutual understanding, and love, they experience a series of comic as well as painful moments. Will the young family withstand the test sent to them? How will Jack and Susie "contribute" to the couple's strength and relationship? Why does a guardian angel appear in their home?
The theatrical play by British author Pam Valentine, first performed in Canada in 2010, is valued for its sharp humor, ironic and ambiguous situations, and moral: love never dies and never ends.
