"Poliarizuoti stiklai" will hold a 40th anniversary concert at the Kaunas Sports Hall: "A lot of nostalgia awaits"

Formed in 1986, the Lithuanian rock band "Poliarizuoti stiklai" is celebrating a special occasion this year – 40 years on stage with the same band lineup. On the occasion of the anniversary, "Poliarizuoti stiklai" will hold their only concert on November 27 at the Kaunas Sports Hall.

The authors of legendary tracks such as "Medžiai be lapų", "Poliarizuoti stiklai", or "Mėlynakė Stasė" claim that viewers arriving at the festive concert can expect a good rock party with a touch of nostalgia.

"Fans can expect a real, sincere, and energy-radiating rock concert experience. Looking back, back in 1989, a grandiose Lithuanian rock festival took place, in which as many as 26 bands participated. It was one of the largest and most massive events in our music history – alongside the 'Rock Marches', these Rock festivals were characterized by an extremely large number of listeners and lasted for three days. For us, at the dawn of Lithuania's independence, it was extremely important to participate there and thus express our civic position. We have carried this emotion of unity, freedom, and the unfading spirit of rock through all 40 years and are bringing it directly to this anniversary concert," said the band's leader Šarūnas Mačiulis.

Š. Mačiulis "Šaras" did not hide the special significance of Kaunas for all members of the group, as most of them have relatives there or are from the temporary capital themselves, so the Kaunas character, as the band leader said, is familiar and will ensure a great concert where there will be no barrier between the band on stage and the gathered audience.

"We know that Kaunas is a special city that most appreciates openness and authenticity. We hope to receive a great reaction from the listeners, a feeling of unity, and that everyone who leaves after the concert will feel uplifted, recharged with live energy and good emotions," added the leader of "Poliarizuoti stiklai".

"Šaras" also revealed elements of nostalgia and their presentation in the upcoming concert.

"There will definitely be a lot of nostalgia, but it will be bright and inspiring. Together, we will remember both the spirit of freedom of the 1989 Rock festival and all 40 years spent together with the listeners. We will prepare an exclusive program for the concert, in which our many years of experience, energy, and visual solutions will intertwine live, helping us to relive the most beautiful moments of the band's existence together. It will not only be a look into the past, but also living proof that real rock does not age," revealed Š. Mačiulis.
