The legendary "Notre-Dame de Paris" returns to the major stages of Lithuania this year.
"It is the most beautiful love story ever written. "Notre-Dame de Paris" has broken all possible musical records in Lithuania and Europe. Every time I sing in this musical, I feel like it's the first time – I relive this wonderful story again and again," says Deividas Norvilas, who performs the roles of Quasimodo and Gringoire.
"When I first heard "Notre-Dame de Paris", I thought that those who can perform such beautiful music are blessed. At that time, the musical genre was not popular in Lithuania, so participating in such a project was more of a dream than a reality for me. Today, it has been fulfilled beyond measure – I have been singing in this musical for 16 years. I am very happy that I have such an opportunity, and that the music is able to stir not only my heart but also the hearts of fans of this genre!" says Raimondas Baranauskas, the star of "Notre-Dame de Paris".
The musical "Notre-Dame de Paris" is based on the classic novel by Victor Hugo, published in 1831. It is a story about the heart of the young gypsy Esmeralda, torn by love and passion, about the struggle between good and evil, about care and devotion, and the confrontation between pride and morality. Esmeralda's fate is tragic, but eternal love and pure feelings in the heart of the hunchbacked bell-ringer Quasimodo remain smoldering until the end of his life.
