Jamaican artist Brushy One String became a YouTube sensation over a decade ago, and it is guaranteed that he will be a huge discovery and surprise for the listeners of the "Kaunas Blues 2026" festival. The artist, who plays a one-string guitar and sings beautifully, with his biggest hit "Chicken In The Corn" exceeding 70 million views, has also performed on "NPR Music Tiny Desk". Brushy will bring completely new colors to the festival while fitting perfectly into the broad context of "Kaunas Blues".
Born as Andrew Anthony Chin, the charismatic Jamaican has been through a lot in his life: his musician father died early, he experienced much hardship, but music has accompanied him his whole life: his mother sang almost all the time, and Andrew himself played on the streets from a young age. He played the guitar, but as he himself recounted, he did it so hard that the strings would constantly break. And then, in a dream, he heard a clear voice telling him not to struggle with six strings, but to play with only one. That is how he became Brushy One String – an original artist known for playing a one-string guitar.
Success did not come immediately – the turning point in his musical life was a (non)accidental encounter with documentary filmmaker Luciano Blotta, who was making a film about alternative Jamaican music. The director was captivated by Brushy One String and used his track "Chicken In The Corn" in his film. After the film's release, it was obvious to Blotta that the word about Brushy One String had to spread even further, and he began collaborating and promoting the artist's music.
Listeners heard his unique work, in which several elements combine very organically: blues, soul, and reggae (after all, soul and R&B are the roots of reggae). And this wild and bright aura is provided by Brushy One String's own voice and energy, as well as a guitar that does not sound like a guitar at all: just one string, yet it contains percussion, melody, and immense power.
Brushy One String has released several excellent albums, but seeing this artist live is like being transported to another dimension. Incredible charisma, incredible ingenuity, and originality. Echoes of Jamaica and a musical spirit. It is hard to imagine anything that could provide more warmth to the Lithuanian autumn.

IVTKYGYG is a legendary seven-piece band that has been active for over three decades and has become a prominent phenomenon in the Lithuanian alternative music scene. The collective has consistently created a distinct sound that blends elements of post-punk, funk, and rock, and their work is played not only in Lithuania but also on non-commercial radio stations across Europe.
The band's music is a constant balancing act between sarcasm, irony, and darker, macabre motifs. This world full of contrasts is revealed not only in their recordings but especially in their live performances, where IVTKYGYG draws listeners into a unique stage act.
The collective actively performs at festivals and on stages throughout Lithuania, releases albums, and is constantly looking for new forms of expression. Their performances stand out not only for their energy but also for unexpected solutions – the band uses exotic, unique-sounding instruments, which they introduce to the audience and sometimes even let them try out.
IVTKYGYG's concert program is usually presented in two parts, but every performance remains unpredictable. It is a living, raw, and constantly changing musical organism that promises new experiences and musical surprises every time.
