This year, during the festive period, the Kaunas State Philharmonic is opening its doors to the youngest listeners. A concert awaits them, featuring music from well-known and beloved animated films.
"Today you will hear music that is balanced for children, but also suitable for adults," says concert soloist Eglė Vakarinaitė. Animated films such as "Beauty and the Beast", "The Little Mermaid", "Aladdin", "Frozen", "The Princess and the Frog", "101 Dalmatians", "Pocahontas", and "The Lion King" are known to children, their parents, and grandparents alike. And all of them, besides colorful characters and enchanting stories, are connected by wonderful music that not only adorns the visuals but also becomes an inseparable part of the stories. Oscars are awarded for the music in animated films; it is written by music legends like Phil Collins, Elton John, and Peter Gabriel, and it is on par with the most prominent pop, rock, and jazz works, as well as musicals.
"Together with the ensemble 'Musica humana', we want to tell you about the songs from animated films that have captivated the whole world. It is a fun musical journey, full of songs that children and their parents hum along to together," adds singer E. Vakarinaitė.
We invite you to celebrate this special period together with music that unites different generations and allows you to once again immerse yourself in the world of your favorite animated films.
