One of Lithuania's most prominent jazz guitarists and composers, Mindaugas Stumbras, presents his original music on the stage of the Kaunas State Philharmonic. This is a musical journey that reveals the artist's broad creative spectrum – from subtle acoustic textures to intense, energy-pulsing jazz improvisations.
M. Stumbras' music blends emotionality, intellect, and a subtle aesthetic of sound. Established on the international stage, the performer is a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and his work is featured at prestigious European jazz festivals and clubs.
In this concert, the artist, together with his quartet, will perform original music from the albums "Among the Pines," "Inspirations," and his latest work, "The Spinner of Yarns," as well as several brand-new pieces that have never been heard before.
Each composition here is like an independent story, permeated with personal experiences, cultural impressions, and inner quests. These stories weave together the freedom of jazz improvisation, the colors of world music, and contemporary harmonies, which the quartet compellingly reveals during their live performance.
