A couple tries to make the most important decision of their lives – to have a child. They are educated, they sort their waste, and they care about global issues. They care about the future of humanity. And suddenly, their family question becomes extremely complicated. If you think too much – you will never decide. If you rush – it could be disastrous. Having a child requires the right reasons. But what reasons are the right ones? And what will be destroyed first – the world or the relationship? Do you often think that it is important to consider climate change when planning a family? "I could fly to New York and back every day for seven years... And I still wouldn't leave a carbon footprint as big as the one I'll leave by having a child. Two thousand tons of CO2. That's the weight of the Eiffel Tower. I will give birth to the Eiffel Tower." /from the play/ Director Agnija Leonova invites you to a play based on British playwright Duncan McMillan's "Lungs". In the drama, climate change, as a symbol of global catastrophe (or a Sword of Damocles), creates an unsettling environment for the couple's relationship and influences them. The creators of the play raise the question – is the couple really looking for a solution, or are they, while pondering the world, running away from their own relationship? A small theater hall creates an opportunity to look into the couple's relationship in the face of global warming, in an intimate home setting, as if through a keyhole. The viewer will be able to both laugh boldly at the absurdity of the relationship and experience the painful events of the characters' lives together. In 2022, at the XIII Dalia Tamulevičiūtė Professional Theater Festival, the play was awarded as the MOST SUCCESSFUL DEBUT. Attention: the play is marked with an N-16 age restriction, as it contains profanity.
