"Pasibalbatuokim" club meeting

On September 30, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, the "Pasibalbatuokim" club meeting will take place in the Ąžuolas Hall (Radastų St. 2, 2nd floor). During this meeting, we will discuss love during difficult periods of life – such as war, exile, epidemics, and other social and personal crises. In such situations, love can become not only a source of strength and hope but also a cause of fear, dependency, or complex moral choices, forcing us to rethink the usual boundaries of goodness, duty, and responsibility. Love is everything that remains when nothing else is left. <…> In the best of times, love is a dream. In the hardest of times, it is salvation. (quoted from Kristin Hannah's book "The Four Winds") Inspiration for the conversation will be provided by the literary sensory exhibition "See You Soon! Love" currently on display at the library, which tells the story of the role of love during exile, resistance, war, and other extreme experiences. During the discussion, we will consider how extreme circumstances change the forms of love and its role in human life, when it becomes a moral compass, and when it becomes a survival strategy leading to difficult choices.
