Kaunas art book fair 2026

On September 26–27, we invite you to the Kaunas Photography Gallery (Vilniaus g. 2) for the eighth edition of the Kaunas Art Book Fair. ▏▎▍▌ ▍▎▏ Kaunas Art Book Fair is an event dedicated exclusively to the culture of art publications, bringing together creators, publishers, bookstores, collectors, and everyone for whom a book is more than just a source of information. We invite you to meet, discover new publications, engage in conversations, and view art publications as independent cultural objects. This year's fair theme is collecting. Personal libraries, photo albums, archives, art books, mass-produced works, and their histories invite us to look at a collection as a way of understanding the world. What do we choose to preserve? How do objects, images, and publications gain value? When does accumulating become a story about ourselves? The fair program includes an art book fair, an exhibition presenting an artist's personal library collection, talks about collecting and archives, a marathon of short presentations on art, books, and money, book launches, and creative workshops for children and adults.
