STARTING POINT '26: KAWLOON: the largest house in the world (Czech Republic)

Tickets for 15:00 and 17:00 shows "Kawloon: the largest house in the world" – an original puppet theatre performance inspired by the former Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong – once one of the most densely populated places in the world. At the center of the performance is the character Tuan, standing alone at the gates of a giant apartment building, trying to find a way inside and discover a new home. The Kowloon Walled City belonged to the territory of Hong Kong, which was not subject to government control. Over time, the former defensive fortress turned into one giant structure, occupying an area of just 0.026 km², yet becoming home to more than fifty thousand residents. Using puppets, projections, light and sound animation, and live music, the performance explores the process of getting to know a complex, unfamiliar space and how it gradually turns into a home.
