The international traditional and contemporary folklore festival "Suklegos" brings together various directions of folklore modernization and invites you to discover world music. The audience will enjoy a concert by the festival's international guests, where in the first part you will hear Persian-Lithuanian improvisations, and in the second – a powerful choir of Irish voices.

The group HAM DAM, consisting of Dariush Rasouli and Nasiri-Arad Emamgholi, has been active since 2016, performing at various international festivals and participating in joint creative projects with other music masters. In their concerts, the listener hears improvisations and new compositions based on traditional and classical (Sufi) music. Dariush Rasouli (ney - Persian flute) graduated from the Music Academy in Tehran, specializing in Ney and the vocal and instrumental repertoire of Persian classical music. Arad Emamgholi (dayere, dohol, daf - drums) has been playing since the age of four, learning from the best masters in Kurdistan and Iran. Gvidas Kovėra's creative work includes numerous collaborative projects and concerts with both folklore performers and representatives of other musical styles (P. Vyšniauskas, V. Povilionienė, etc.). Playing many Lithuanian instruments, G. Kovėra actively performs as a bagpiper and with the group "Vilko pupos". Since 2019, he has been organizing "Old Kanklės Festivals", and since 2008 – Lithuanian bagpiper gatherings.

The Ramparts is a Dublin-based male a cappella vocal group. In their performances, they masterfully combine traditional Irish folk songs, classic hits, barbershop ballads, contemporary classical, and sacred music. The group's unique sound, energy, and charisma captivate audiences in concert halls, as well as on streets or in pubs. As many as 24 choir members are coming to Lithuania, ready to enchant the audience with wonderful harmonies and rhythms from various lands.

TICKET INFORMATION Children under 10 are admitted free of charge. When selecting a ticket, enter the discount code VAIKAS. A 40% discount applies to students, pupils, and seniors. When selecting a ticket, enter the discount code NUOLAIDA. Upon request by ticket inspectors, it is mandatory to present a document proving the right to a discount.

The festival is organized by the Association "Etnoerdvės". The project is funded by the Lithuanian Council for Culture and Kaunas City Municipality.
