Opening of the photography exhibition "Where Stories Live"

We invite you to a sensitive and inspiring exhibition and its opening, where life experience, memory, and different generations meet. This exhibition invites you to look at old age differently – not through the prism of stereotypes, but through the stories of real people. The exhibition presents 10 artistic portraits capturing seniors from various cities and villages in Lithuania. Photographer Agnė Paplevytė captured not only their faces in their home environments, but also their life wisdom, dignity, and authentic experiences. Next to each portrait, visitors will find a QR code that will open the opportunity to hear the voices of the heroes themselves. By scanning the code, you will be able to hear their answers to the question: "What would you do differently if you could return to your youth?". This is an invitation not only to observe, but also to listen. The younger generation also becomes part of the exhibition. In a special stand, high school students share their thoughts about the future by answering the question: "What kind of senior would I like to be in 50 years?". This creates a meaningful dialogue between youth and maturity. The project was initiated and implemented by Silvija Graliauskienė and Indrė Krucaitė, whose care for seniors and people with disabilities became the foundation of this exhibition. We invite you to pause, listen, and discover the stories that live right next to us. The older generation is not just our past – it is an active, valuable, and inspiring part of society. Exhibition opening: September 3 at 5:00 PM. The exhibition will be open from September 3 to October 7. Location: KKC, Small Hall Visiting the exhibition is FREE! You can view the exhibitions by arriving at events or during KKC working hours.
