The Meta Piano Trio invites you to a festive concert featuring a program filled with joy, lightness, and recognizable musical motifs.
The program weaves together sounds from different eras and styles, leading the listener through bright, lyrical melodies and vibrant, rhythmically pulsing episodes that allow one to deeply immerse themselves in a festive state of mind, reminiscent of the end-of-year mood.
The highlight of the evening will be the percussion, which complements the usual sound of the piano trio – Tomas Kulikauskas will subtly expand the sonic horizon, bringing gentle energy, colorful nuances, and unexpected acoustic flashes that further enhance the coziness and liveliness of this program.
The Meta Piano Trio has been performing together since 2018. The trio has already become a laureate of several international competitions. The ensemble members – Marija Pranskutė (violin), Deividas Dumčius (cello), and Julija Bagdonavičiūtė (piano) – are well-known to audiences at Lithuania's main concert halls. Contemporary music holds an important place in the Meta trio's repertoire; they have prepared and performed numerous premieres of works by Lithuanian composers.
This concert is an invitation to pause, listen, and immerse yourself in an experience filled with warmth and inner uplift.
