After four years of silence, the anniversary "Fejerija" in Kaunas promises one of the most impressive spectacles of the year
The Lithuanian sky will once again be shaken by a spectacle full of fireworks, colors, music, and emotions – on September 19, 2026, after a four-year break, the international fireworks festival "Fejerija 2026" returns. This year, the festival is being organized for the fifteenth time, and the impressive show will take place in Kaunas for the first time.
First held in 2009, "Fejerija" has become one of the most prominent and highly anticipated events in Lithuania. The festival is famous for its high-level pyrotechnic performances, international team competitions, and an exceptional atmosphere that attracts thousands of spectators. This year, the chosen venue for the anniversary festival, the Darius and Girėnas Airfield in Kaunas, will turn into an impressive stage where the arts of music, aviation, and pyrotechnics will merge, gifting event guests an unforgettable show.
Pyrotechnics masters from different corners of the world
This year's festival will feature programs presented by professional pyrotechnics teams from England, neighboring Poland, and exotic Thailand. Lithuania will be represented by the long-standing pyrotechnics team "Blikas," well-known both in our country and internationally. Their accumulated experience and creative ambitions allow us to expect that the Lithuanian team's performance this year will surprise even the most seasoned fireworks fans.
Each team will present a unique program to the audience, in which fireworks will be combined with special effects and carefully selected soundtracks. The performances of all four teams will be evaluated by a competent jury. Its members will be revealed closer to the event.
"A fireworks festival is not just a demonstration of technique, but also high-level artistic performances. We strive for the audience to experience emotions that will remain long after the event," state the festival organizers.
In the sky – "ANBO", on stage – Džordana Butkutė
Even before dusk, spectators will be greeted by an exceptional aviation program. Planes from the legendary "ANBO" group will streak across the sky above the Darius and Girėnas Airfield. The figures performed in the sky will become a symbolic start to the festival and will give the event even more dynamics and emotion.
During the event, the audience's mood will be maintained and a festive atmosphere will be created by one of Lithuania's brightest stage stars, Džordana Butkutė. The crowd favorite will present a musical program featuring well-known and beloved hits. Her charisma, strong stage energy, and special connection with the audience will become an integral part of the festival and will further enhance the impressions while waiting for the main highlight – the fireworks.
"The Darius and Girėnas Airfield is one of the most unique places in Lithuania for such an event. The synergy of aviation, music, and pyrotechnics will create an exceptional atmosphere that the audience has not yet experienced," note the organizers.
Kaunas invites you to become part of an impressive spectacle
The organizers hope that the anniversary festival will become one of the biggest events of 2026 in Kaunas and will attract spectators not only from Lithuania but also from abroad.
Returning after a four-year break, "Fejerija" will bring people together for an impressive celebration where music, aviation, lights, and creativity will merge into an unforgettable spectacle full of emotions. This is an event for families, friends, and everyone who has missed togetherness, inspiring moments, and impressions that will remain in memory for a long time.
The international fireworks festival "Fejerija" will take place on September 19, 2026, in Kaunas, at the Darius and Girėnas Airfield.
