Art subjects courses "Drawing + Painting + Composition"

The Faculty of Arts and Education of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution invites you to the art subjects courses "Drawing + Painting + Composition", which will take place from 2026-10-17 to 2027-01-23. The courses will provide both theoretical and practical introductions to the disciplines of drawing, painting, and composition, and will include creative tasks. The courses are intended both for those intending to choose study programs in the fields of design, fine arts, and art object restoration, and for those who want to develop their drawing, painting, and composition skills. In the drawing lectures, course participants will be introduced to the laws of perspective and proportions, and the basic principles of composition. They will learn to draw geometric figures and compositions of household objects, and to convey the materiality and lighting of objects. In the painting lectures, participants will be introduced to the basics of color theory, color properties and relationships, and will learn to paint still lifes, convey lighting and the shape of objects, as well as three-dimensional volume with the help of warm and cool colors. In the composition lectures, participants will learn to create compositions of dots, lines, geometric shapes, and colors using different means of expression, and will create thematic compositions. The art subjects courses will take place on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the creative studios of the Faculty of Arts and Education, located at A. Mackevičiaus g. 27, Kaunas. The courses will be led by experienced lecturers from the Faculty of Arts and Education. By consistently explaining tasks, providing individual attention, and sharing their experience, they will encourage course participants to achieve their set goals. Duration of art subjects courses: the full course duration is 81 academic hours. Optionally, you can attend individual art subject courses: drawing – 27 academic hours, painting – 27 academic hours, composition – 27 academic hours. Course price: drawing – 162 EUR, painting – 162 EUR, composition – 162 EUR. It is possible to attend individual subjects optionally. Payment for the courses: by September 28.
