A good workday, is it even possible? After all, most people start waiting for the end of the workday as soon as it begins, because work is not entertainment, but a place to earn money. Could it be otherwise? This time, the AKTORIŲ theatre presents a very busy, yet relaxing comedy, WORK LIKE A CELEBRATION, based on the play "Happy at Work" by French author Isabelle Grolier.
The play takes place in a newspaper office, where financial matters worsen every month because, with the arrival of the internet era, printed newspapers have become unpopular. The three employees working in the office do not particularly like each other or their duties; they only look for ways to escape through the office door as quickly as possible. The director running the newspaper cannot stand the employees' attitude toward work, but everyone continues to work through gritted teeth because they have no other choice. And a solution is unexpectedly offered by a Dutch investor who promises to invest in the newspaper on one strange condition: from now on, the employees must be happy at work and go to work as if it were a celebration!
Will four colleagues who dislike each other find a way out? This is where the real chaos, funny situations, hilarious misunderstandings, and, most importantly, even more work begins!
Perhaps this play will give the viewer the answer that the whole world has been searching for for centuries: how to be happy at work? And if you don't find the answer, at least you will take away an optimistic outlook on work—which some love and others dislike—and the happiness that everyone strives for.
