The Kaunas Picture Gallery (Donelaičio 16, Kaunas) invites you to experiential walks titled "I am looking at the one who is looking at me" with art therapist Sigita Stabinskė. If you are interested in art and psychology, we invite you to participate in experiential, open art therapy groups at the museum. This is a series of meetings during which you will experience therapeutic art observation, delve into self-discovery through works of art, and try out therapeutic writing and reflection practices. During the sessions, you will visit different museum exhibitions – you will encounter artists' works through which you will explore your feelings, emotions, and inner imagery. During each meeting, recommendations for meditative observation of a painting/work of art in the current exhibitions will be provided, along with writing and minimalist drawing practices, followed by reflection and sharing within the group at the end. The groups are open, so new participants can join each time. The sessions will take place on Tuesdays from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Art therapy and other therapeutic practices at the museum are based on theoretical knowledge and the many years of experience of art therapist Sigita Stabinskė working with adult groups and individuals. Sigita is one of the pioneers of art therapy; in her groups, she applies existential psychotherapy practices and methods from other psychological disciplines. Participants of the groups led by the therapist say: "How interesting it is to look for meaning and feeling in every painting." Session dates: September: 8th at 5:00 PM. October: 13th, 20th, 27th at 5:00 PM. November: 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th at 5:00 PM. December: 1st at 5:00 PM. Advance registration is required via email at dailesterapia@gmail.com or by phone at +370 602 805 37 (from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Price: adults – 15 EUR, students, seniors – 8 EUR.
