Archaeology exhibition "Ornamental and Practical Finds from the Masteikiai Burial Ground"

On Thursday, May 7, at 6:00 PM, the archaeology exhibition "Ornamental and Practical Finds from the Masteikiai Burial Ground" will open at the Kaunas District Museum, located in Raudondvaris Castle. The exhibition presents finds from the 8th–17th centuries discovered in the Masteikiai burial ground, revealing burial customs of different periods, people's daily lives, warfare, decorative traditions, and the exceptional decorativeness of horse equipment. Jewelry, weapons, tools, household items, and clothing details testify that even the most practical items were created with a keen sense of aesthetics at that time.
