The performance features 21 artists from the Anželika Cholina Dance Theatre, the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Kaunas State Musical Theatre, and the ACH Youth Troupe.

The plot of the dance performance "YOUTH, or scenarios by which parents and children live" intertwines fragments of the lives of six families and pits two worlds against each other – that of children and adults. It is a contrasting psychological tragicomedy where modern family life dramas are conveyed through the language of dance, set to the powerful music of Johann Sebastian Bach.

The performance "YOUTH", which has already become a sensation on the Lithuanian theatre scene in recent years and was twice in a row recognized as the most-watched dance performance in all of Lithuania (in 2023 and 2024, according to www.bilietai.lt data), continues its journey across the country and into the hearts of viewers in its new – the 27th – season of the ACH Theatre.

Full houses, tens of thousands who have already seen it, consistently strong emotional reactions from the audience, always sensitive feedback, and always thunderous ovations – "YOUTH" leaves no one indifferent, deeply touches the viewer's heart, and encourages reflection on relationships with those closest to them.

In the performance, whose central thematic axis is the not-always-simple relationship between parents and children, three dance genres have been intertwined for the first time: classical ballet, contemporary-modern dance, and street dance.

Also, for the first time in the history of the ACH Theatre, roles on one stage are created by well-known, experienced masters of performing arts, ballet soloists, actors, dancers, and 11-13-year-old children, the most talented students from ballet, dance, and acting schools, and young artists from the ACH Theatre Youth Troupe established in 2022. As they grow quickly, every season in "YOUTH", a constantly renewing cast of young dancers, carefully prepared by choreographer Anželika Cholina herself, dances and embodies children on the big stage.

Speaking about the dance performance "YOUTH" she directed, which has enjoyed phenomenal success since its premiere in 2023 and has undoubtedly entered the history of Lithuanian theatre, A. Cholina emphasizes: "I have always been interested in getting closer to the truth about life by exploring various aspects of human relationships. The relationship between parents and children is the most complex form of human interaction. Families are mainly created in youth, so most become parents while still being children themselves...

This performance is a kind of art therapy session that allows a look inside family life. With this work, I want to encourage adults to look at children as equal personalities and see the uniqueness they bring with them. I hope that the family behavior models seen in the performance will make people think and inspire change..."

The strong impact of the performance "YOUTH" and its ability to deeply touch the hearts of viewers have also been evaluated by research – in an emotion measurement experiment involving dozens of the performance's viewers, with their reactions analyzed by experienced analysts and psychologists, the effect of the performance was described as undeniably strong, transformative, and promoting not only immense aesthetic pleasure and joy but also contemplation and self-reflection by viewers about their own relationships with loved ones.

Duration: 105 min., without intermission

IMPORTANT! – Continuing to actively promote the tradition of cultural patronage in Lithuania, we invite you to contribute to the future of the independent, self-funded ACH Theatre and purchase a special, more expensive than usual PATRON TICKET for all our performances.

Thanks to your support, our theatre can plan new premieres, maintain a professional troupe of artists, go on tours throughout Lithuania, even to more remote regions of the country where professional performing arts are less accessible, and not compromise on the artistic and technical quality of the performances. Observing the ever-increasing sales of these tickets, we are convinced – we are definitely not alone. Thank you to every single current and future supporter of the ACH Theatre!

Also, seeking to create a positive change in society and contribute to shaping a new approach to cultural patronage in our country, two years ago we took the lead in educating youth and growing a young generation of cultural patrons. Therefore, in the new season, we are continuing the initiative dedicated to all young people aged 15-24 – they can continue to purchase FUTURE PATRON TICKETS for all ACH Theatre performances and watch the performances from a special row, next to the theatre's Patrons.

Young people can purchase these tickets with a 50% discount already applied, and upon arriving at the performance, we will only ask to present a personal document proving age along with the ticket. We have no doubt that by providing an opportunity for a young person to see our theatre's performances under special conditions, we are contributing to raising a generation of young Lithuanians who are not indifferent to theatre, art, and culture!
