How many castles were there in Kaunas and which duke has been undeservedly forgotten? And where did the Crusader castles stand? What royal matchmaking took place in Kaunas, and what about weddings?
About the times when trade and crafts flourished. About the times when fines were paid in bricks, and pigs could roam the streets freely to fatten up. About wars, diseases, fires. About the city's golden age and times of poverty. About monks, the first churches, cemeteries, punishments, the food of the townspeople, and disputes between foreign and local merchants.
Kaunas' Pompeii is only now revealing secrets kept for centuries; the signs left in the Old Town reveal that the city was once important and colorful. Like turning the pages of a book, we will leaf through the stories of the medieval city right up to the fateful year of 1795.

Meeting point and start of the tour: by the Freedom Fighter (Laisvės karys) sculpture near Kaunas Castle
Free for children and students from 1st to 12th grade participating in the tour with adult family members (registration required).
The tour will take place outdoors - please ensure you dress appropriately for the weather.
