How many castles were there in Kaunas and which duke has been unfairly forgotten? And where did the Crusader castles stand? What royal marriage proposals took place in Kaunas, and where did even weddings happen?
About the times when trade and crafts flourished. About the times when fines were paid in bricks, and pigs could roam freely in the streets to fatten up. About wars, diseases, and fires. About the city's golden age and times of poverty. About monks, the first churches, cemeteries, punishments, the food of the townspeople, and disputes between foreign and local merchants.
Kaunas's Pompeii is only now revealing secrets kept for centuries; the signs left in the Old Town reveal that the city was once important and colorful. Like turning the pages of a book, we will leaf through the stories of the medieval city right up to the fateful year of 1795.

Meeting point and start of the tour: by the Freedom Fighter (Laisvės karys) sculpture near Kaunas Castle
Free for children and students from 1st to 12th grade participating in the tour together with adult family members (registration required).
The tour will take place outdoors - please ensure you are dressed appropriately for the weather.
Ticket validity: if you cannot attend, please arrange for the ticket to be transferred to another person.
