2-part comedy "Trys mylimos" (dir. K. Kazlauskaitė)

Actress Kristina Kazlauskaitė takes on directing once again – this time, the classic of Lithuanian literature, the comedy "Trys mylimos" by Julija Beniuševičiūtė-Žymantienė, better known by her pseudonym Žemaitė.

The play is set in a Lithuanian village. A village lad, Liudvikas, tries to seduce three beloveds at once – a mother and her two daughters living in the same village house. However, his goal is malicious – not love, but wealth. The young man tries to swindle the mother's savings. This gives birth to a comedy of various situations – lies, deception, and seduction – as each of the three women falls deeply in love with Liudvikas.

Legendary theater actors will embody the vivid characters in the play: the role of the Mother is created by actresses Dalia Brenciūtė and Violeta Podolskaitė. Actors of the younger generation, Balys Ivanauskas and Artūras Dubaka, will share the role of Liudvikas, while the daughters will be played by alternating actresses: Redita Dominaitytė and Kristina Savickytė (Petronėlė), and Aistė Lasytė and Veronika Tarasevičiūtė (Domicelė). The farmer Kozeris will be played by Vytautas Taukinaitis and Gediminas Storpirštis.

"Trys mylimos" is one of the works of national dramaturgy that remains relevant today. Three women and one man. Deception or sincerity? Love or calculation? These are eternal questions that Kristina Kazlauskaitė, using her vision as a director, the talents of the actors, and spoken dialects, and conveying the amplitude of human traits and feelings, will try to answer in a way that is emotional, dramatic, and comedic.

We all want to love and be loved. Liudvikas and his three beloveds are a perfect example of this.
