Žalgirio arena will celebrate its 15th birthday in style on August 12th, with the main star of the evening being Shaggy, the author of the global hit "It Wasn't Me".
On the Spotify platform, the Jamaican-American reggae star Orville Richard Burrell, better known as Shaggy, is among the three most-listened-to reggae artists alongside Bob Marley and Sean Paul.
Shaggy began his musical career in 1993 when he released his first hit, "Oh Carolina", which helped him establish himself on the international stage. The biggest breakthrough in Shaggy's career came in 2000 with the release of his album "Hot Shot", which produced global hits such as "It Wasn't Me" and "Angel".
Shaggy has also won two Grammy awards – the first in 1996 for the album "Boombastic", and the second in 2019 when he released the album "44/876" together with Sting. Shaggy won both Grammy awards in the Best Reggae Album category.
Throughout his musical career, which has spanned more than three decades, Shaggy has maintained a distinctive style that combines a deep, recognizable voice with elements of humor in his lyrics, and on August 12th, Shaggy will perform at the Žalgirio arena.
A surprise from another artist awaits the audience gathered for the Žalgirio arena's 15th birthday show, but this is being kept a secret for now.
